KemptonParkHospital
An abandoned institution caught between utility and myth. Empty wards, severed corridors and leftover objects form a portrait of organised care after the organisation has gone.
A hospital is designed around movement: bodies arriving, recovering, leaving. Without that movement, its rooms become strangely theatrical. Light takes over the routine; small remnants become evidence.
These photographs move slowly through the building. They are less interested in spectacle than in the unnerving intimacy of a place that still resembles its purpose while no longer performing it.
